Helpful Info

During normal working hours, please contact the office so that my staff can alert me to your problem. They will recommend the appropriate facility and approximate time to see me. If you require immediate care please go to the Emergency Room.
If you are an obstetric patient beyond 4th month of pregnancy, you should call the Labor and Delivery Room at either the Medical Center of Central Georgia or the HCA Coliseum Medical Center.
Care During Pregnancy
Dr. Firth has privileges in obstetrics at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and the HCA Coliseum Medical Center. He supports family-oriented and natural childbirth. Both facilities mentioned above have birthing rooms, nursery and anesthesia services.
Extensive childbirth educational programs are available in the community and are strongly recommended. Please feel free to ask our staff for further information.
Insurance hospitalization, surgery and obstetrical care are routinely field by this office. Obstetrical patients should review their insurance with the office manager to establish a payment schedule. Gynecological patients should discuss fees with the office manager to check insurance coverages and to assist in the prevention of financial problems and misunderstandings.
Please contact the office manager if you have any financial difficulties in establishing a payment schedule.
Obstetrics and Gynecology more than any other specialty requires mutual understanding, respect, and confidence.

Recommendations for Minor Illness During Pregnancy
All medications are over the counter and have been used and available for several years. If symptoms do not improve within 48 hours, call our office.
